For years, producing domestically has been a dream of ours, and after extensive research and effort, we’ve partnered with an artisan-quality construction source and an independent master finishing shop. Together, they create the most exquisite cribs and case goods ever made for the nursery.

At Milk Street Baby, our USA team is dedicated to producing the highest-quality products on the market. To ensure complete compliance and the safety of all Milk Street furniture, we have adopted a rear-mount interlock system with counterweights, where needed, in our case goods. This allows Milk Street Baby to meet the latest tipping standards while maintaining full-extension drawers. Warning and extension labels are applied as necessary, and a General Certificate of Conformity is filed after testing each style by wood species and collection. All of our cribs are GREENGUARD Gold Certified. They are tested in a sealed chamber, where the chemical composition of our furniture is analyzed to see exactly how it affects the air quality in your home. This standard and its rigorous testing processes exceed all mandatory testing procedures, including ASTM, California Proposition 65, and CPSC 16CFR1219

Our finishing shop offers pigments and unique, multi-step processes that are unmatched in the industry. We believe it is critical to have experts who specialize in both furniture engineering as well as finishing techniques and color mixing. For this reason, we utilize two separate factories for our USA products.

Furniture moves into our finishing shop in the white wood or raw wood stage, where it is inspected for any flaws. Once a piece has passed inspection, it is sanded, finished, inspected again, and blanket-wrapped for direct shipment to businesses and homes across the country. Milk Street Baby offers four species of hardwood and two tiers of finishes across a palette of sixteen colors. Each finish is priced according to its complexity. The wood species we offer include wormy maple, aspen, sap cherry, and brown maple. Other hardwoods are available and can be custom ordered.
